[Chuck Pullen] ” Just hook it up to a machine with an SDI capture card, and you can recover the file that way.”

The file plays back from the ki pro with the same problem.

The file had plenty of time to close. I edit on an Avid Media Composer 6.0. And we were recording on the DNX 145 option on the drive.

Also I forgot to mention the file has all the audio from the 4 hours but the video does the 3 second looping problem.

My boss and I think it is a bad deck or possibly power fluctuation problem. Our trailer config has been the same for a year now and we never ran into this problem before.

  • I really enjoyed your post. It was very incite full. I personally have not heard that Adobe is going to a strict cloud based format (not saying that they aren’t) but it kind of makes sense for them.

I hate the constant CS updates/upgrades (CS6/7/8/9), it is the same thing in the video game world, as in the use of downloadable content, when in all actuality that content is on the original disk and all you did was put in a code to use it. (Sorry if that did not make sense)

Adobe’s creative cloud at least gives you the constant Adobe updates, so maybe they will just get to the point of saying Photoshop instead of Photoshop CSX12 v1.2 extended 3 and 1/2.

Avid is stable but there is a learning curve. Premiere and FCP seemed to me to be easier to navigate when teaching yourself how to use them.

My final thought. I think Adobe will remain competitive. And don’t leave out Sony Vegas. I edit on Avid mostly. But I really enjoyed my brief time editing on Vegas. (A very straight forward system.)

    Thank You.

Have you tried using 3d camera tracker in AE. It’s under perspective. I have had luck with it. Unless you are doing something different, that is specific to Mocha.

    Thanks for the reply.

Funny thing. I figured it out. I just restarted both programs and it worked fine.

Yeah I agree with Single Frame Animation. That is what the original looks like it is doing.

I would say almost go with the Puppet Tool. I have not mastered it by any means but if you were careful you could prob pull it off. And I assume we are talking about the woman into swirl effect.
