Thanks for your reply. The size of the media in the comps that crash varies, but some are large. The most recent comp that crashed had a psd that was 1150x1125px at 72DPI. So, not large. It’s possible that all comps that crash are referencing media that’s in Adobe CC – stored locally, but syncing to the cloud. Usually I’m working with a team project with shared media. Other editors are not getting these crashes and I’m working with much better hardware generally speaking than they are.
Please take a look at this video sample. The 3D text clips do not appear in the timeline as they do in the browser. https://vimeo.com/262411060/82000e2047

That’s what I thought. It’s frustrating when color grading. If I have an adjustment to a clip that needs to apply to several other clips, it gets messy fast. Obviously not the best program for grading anyway.
Sure here is an example where I I copy and paste a selection and it works fine. Then I try to copy and paste a different clip and it pastes the previous clip. It’s hard to determine when it wants to work and when it doesn’t and why. https://vimeo.com/sliderulepictures/review/240678684/a63f2a3e01
That’s exactly what is happening to me. All different formats, .mp4, h.264, prores, etc. This doesn’t always happen, but it has been happening fairly often going back a few versions. Any thoughts?
