For what I’m doing that works! So that’s what I will do for now, but I feel like it should be possible to mask a shape layer…

You can actually map it using MAC OSX system preferences. Go to the keyboard shortcuts and select Davinci. create a shortcut for it View/Window Outline/On and there you go.

If you want to do a RAM preview of just a certain part with the music change your in and out points by dragging the yellow handles closest to the timeline at the top; that way it only previews that section and you don’t have to watch the whole thing…
