I’ve tried that before, but matching the speed of two dimensions perfectly is really difficult…
Also, working with 3 different easy-ease curves is messy, especially when you introduce multiple layers that need to be matched simultaneously. I was hoping for a more efficient method, never mind.

Thanks for the help though, I might just have to do this 🙂

Sorry, I’m having some trouble picturing this… would you mind maybe posting a screenshot so I can understand what you mean?

    Thanks!

I’ve managed to recreate it with scale, like so:

but again, not sure how to do this with the “speed” graph editor for the position.

I found out that shatter uses alpha channel to calculate the shatter, so as soon as I duplicated the comp, and made the second comp a solid red (instead of white+red), it worked perfectly.

But thanks for your help, I really appreciate it 🙂

I’ve run into a bit of a problem, it’s splitting the inside and outside:

Oh, I wasn’t expecting that to work! Cheers 🙂

Pretty sure it is just 2 separate layers, background wiggle (,) and logo looks like it was parented to converted audio keyframes using the “Twitch” plugin.

Yeah, tinkering with that helps a bit, but to be honest I may just try a different method of tracing the letters.

    Any tips?

I’ve tried converting text to masks and animating it, but then you run into problems with C’s and O’s etc. I’ve also tried using stroke but it’s very temperamental and not the easiest thing to control… I’ve resorted to just using the pen tool to try and get it as accurate as possible and using trim paths, which works for the main part but is extremely time consuming, and causes a lot of problems with some fonts that have different stroke widths, and/or disproportionate counters.

    Cheers!

It’s zoomed in slightly, I have recreated a font with a path, and am using a stroke/trim paths to have the text sort of “write” itself on. However at each corner it has that horrible looking cut that only smooths out when using motion blur, but for this project I feel it looks better without motion blur.

I’ll give the offset a go, but I don’t know if that will mess with my pre-existing animation.

    Cheers for the response!
