September 12, 2013 at 9:28 am in reply to: dimming/flickering when exporting interlaced footageHi Dave and Erik,
Thanks for your replies! It seemed that motionblur was the troublemaker. My knowledge of interlace is very minimal so i had no idea that motion blur with masking in combination with interlace would cause the dimming.
Thanks for your time guys.

What object are u using to colide with the blocks to push them out? U could parent a sphere to your camera and make the sphere invisible and add a composition tagg and uncheck “seen by camera”

I think Maxon released a new plugin for importing/exporting c4d & ae files very recently. U should give that a try, works for me.

January 4, 2013 at 11:02 am in reply to: Location problem Optical Flares when using Optical Flares plugin + Luminance source modeHey Roland! You are right, its probably an opengl error, seeing as i had some of them before :p I removed the OF in that scene because it was actually nicer with out it, and in the scenes that i did use it, the problem didn’t occur 😀
Thanks for your reply!

January 4, 2013 at 10:55 am in reply to: C4D Dynamis rigid body, objects passing trough eachotherThanks for your reply and example file Brian! I had to go for the spline dynamics option because i had to much shackles to get it to work with normal dynamics. The steps per frame and the solver iterations did make a difference but couldn’t keep up with my scene.

Hey Brian,
I’ve added some relax time and that solved the problem!
Thanks for your reply!

January 4, 2013 at 10:37 am in reply to: Selecting the composition layer that corresponds with the footage in my viewport.Hi Steve,
Thanks for your reply! That would be a nice solution, but unfourtunately i’ve had to pre-compose every layer seperatly because i had to add custom adjustment layers and sfx to almost all the individual video layers. The pre-composed layers are as a big as my timeline, and not as big as the smaller video layers inside each one. I should have trimmed every composition to match the video layer duration but at that time, that seemed as a waste of time :p So now when i select the footage in my viewport, i actually select the transparancy of the top most composition. And when i use your solution now, i see all my layers.
I just finished this project, but for my next project i’m def gonna trim my compositions so that i can use the solutions you and Vishesh proposed. Still a new feature in the next AE would be appreciated. It shouldn’t be to hard for adobe to add a feature to select the layer corresponding to the selected pixel in the viewport (ignoring transparency).
Anyways thanks for your help!

December 13, 2012 at 2:34 pm in reply to: Selecting the composition layer that corresponds with the footage in my viewport.Hey Vishesh,
When i select the layer in the viewport it automaticly selects my top layer in the timeline and not one of the (correct) layers underneath. When i press P.T.R.S it only effects my top layer. Any thoughts about this?
Thanks for your reply!

November 9, 2012 at 7:14 pm in reply to: Fading in objects (and their shadows) under a physical sky objectI don’t know much about fading in c4d. How about using depth of field? or Environment with fog?
Anyways good luck 😉
