Ok, that’s what I thought.
What’s the difference between the EF and EF-S lenses?

I read that a good zoom to have is the 70-200mm.
What about the Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III Telephoto Zoom?

Which light meter should I get?

I COMPLETELTY missed the part where you said prime.
Haha, ok.

Yeah I bought one from the same place.
I figured I would just buy one per lens and a few extras.
I just read a lot places saying the cheap ones were too much hassle from breaking.

Is the 1.8 that bad?
I’ve seen the 1.4 online, a lot more expensive.

I was looking at them too.

I was maybe thinking about getting the CAvision shoulder kit, then the Dfocus follow focus. ($195 total)

The indiSystem follow focus is cheaper, it comes with gears, the D-focus would be $145 + $36/gear.
And the indiSystem top handle alone is $50. So if I bought that alone, for $50 more I could the whole set all from indieSystem and not have to worry about compatibility! I actually would save $38 after shipping for gears and top handle.

Thanks for bringing that up, I prob would have missed it!

The shoulder kit has the same stuff as the indisystem minus the top handle (which I would like to have) for $195 (including s/h), and the follow focus is $145 (including shipping), but the follow focus would need lens gears.

I’ll have to look at the indisystem’s follow focus again. maybe with the accessories it could be cheaper.
And maybe indidsystem has just the top handle.

Yeah I noticed that when I was testing it on my San Francisco trip.
What are some good affordable lenses to look for?
Is the Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III ok?

look at the sensor sizes:

Almost double the Red One.

But there is the down-scaling issue.
I’m not sure if they will fix that before NAB this year.
Really interested for RED day (Apr 14).

I use the HPX 170 where I work at now. I love it. But for the money, the 7D and T2i look so good.

I am really interested in the workflow of the DSLR. Bc Ive always considered H264 as a deliverable codec not editable.

What about a USB KVM?

Could I plug this in and use the HDTV as a 3rd monitor to use quicktime player and edit in fcp?

Would the Blackmagic Design Intensity Pro HDMI card work?
I asked a rep in the online Apple Store chat, she had to check with a higher engineer rep, but she said it would. I don’t always trust Apple sales reps bc they often give wrong info at the store.
But with the Blackmagic Design Intensity Pro HDMI card can I use the HDTV as a regular 3rd monitor (both editing in FCP and normal apps like QuickTime Player)?

Thanks.

P.S.
