I am having a problem importing VOB files into Vegas movie studio Platinum 9.0, as have others who posted here. Most gets imported but little segments do not.
I noticed your post suggesting “A fallback workaround that always seem to work ….”
DVD-Player -> Convertor -> firewire -> computer.
My question is what hardware does the Convertor function?

I am trying to capture HD from my Canon HV20. Vegas 7.0e recognizes the Canon HV20 and I can control the tape from Vegas and I see the video in the capture window but when I hit the red button to capture I get the following message:
“A failure occured in Capture.
Failed to start capture.”
the details view does not add any additional information.
I searched for someone posting a similar problem and your post was the closest I could find.
