    in short: by OEM you mean the Vegas which is being shipped with selected Cameras ? If yes, this version does everything like the Vegas which comes with a DVD Architect license…

    Hey John K., if you mean the DV codec by DV the minimum requirements for the edit system are much lower than you think they are…years ago i was able to edit MiniDV on a P4 1.5 GHz with Adobe’s Premiere…

    Vegas is very ressource friendly it just depends on the resolutions you’re working on, HD requires somewhat four times more processing time than standard tv resolutions…an older Pentium M with 2 GHz should help you working on HD as well, but if you can go with a core2duo, do it.

    I’ve been using the described firewire solution for quite a while now. With some project I find myself thinking about, that it would have been better having an HD Preview in the first place, so I have to come back to this Topic…
    I think I would prefer a solution for my secondary display port with my graphics adapter which has a dvi connection and can run up to 1920×1200 pixels in digital mode or higher in analog mode, but analog is no option i guess…

    What do I have to consider to find the right preview monitor for me ?
