    I didn’t have this issue with FCP 4.5 HD… once I upgraded it won’t let me initialize the deck or allow FCP to even see the DV Cam deck.

    Sorry… so caught up in the moment…. the deck I am trying to use is my DV Cam via firewire. I use to be able to use the DV Cam fine when I was using 4.5 HD… I installed an upgrade to 5.04 and now I get the error message “cannot initialize deck…etc.”. Any thoughts on this? Thank you in advance!!! ~Rowland
