November 27, 2016 at 5:02 pm in reply to: Disappearing audio/waveforms (?) – Vegas Pro 13I would report this to Magix, I’m having a similar problem with a disappearing explorer window too. I’m on build 201 fyi, is that what you have?

September 26, 2016 at 2:58 pm in reply to: How do you make Vegas 14 preview monitor go full screen?I had a similar problem where when clicking external preview, nothing happens. It would work fine in 13 but not 14 then someone suggested I install Microsoft .NET framework 4.6.2 and that worked.

That’s the offer I took up, 13 and 14 for $200. Someone asked the same question as you on the old sony forums about a month ago and Eric from Magix replied that there would be an offer soon to go from 13 to 14. Not sure when and for how much. We’ll find out soon enough as 14 is to be released on the 20th.

Glad they’re keeping vegas pro alive, I’d pay just for that. Since they just took over, I think we need to cut them some slack. Brief mentions of the new updates can be found here:

You’re welcome, that’s a nice idea too.

What Laszlo said plus a couple more:
-Apply the volume plugin
-Duplicate the file onto a new track as many times as you need, for windows hold down Ctrl, left mouse button and drag to new track -

July 25, 2016 at 1:37 am in reply to: Vegas pro 13 and 14 sale (great price) – Does anyone know ANYTHING about Vegas pro 14?I read on the current sony creative software forums that scripts will need a minor change to be compatible with 14. No one is sure about the plugin compatibility yet, but OFX versions of plugins are not going away anytime soon so I’m guessing 14 should still support those. Prores is already mentioned as a supported codec in 14 but the general public isn’t sure of the details. I’m guessing and hoping that a re-written code should handle all mentioned formats properly.
I took up the offer for 13 and 14 for $200, what? very nice deal from Magix.
I have high hopes in this new venture and Magix has high standards, can’t wait to see what they do with vegas.

Hi Ron, looks like both will clean up audio but there are differences according to their site:

April 4, 2016 at 6:29 am in reply to: A clip in a sequence with stereo master track sound louder than the same clip in the sequence with 5.1 master track…If you’re mixing in surround, you need a surround setup with a minimum of 5 speakers. You can add a sixth for the LFE channel.
Mixing in stereo vs surround are two separate beasts. There are ways to monitor surround through two speakers, it just does not make sense to do so if you’re destination is 5.1. The levels will sound different too of course.
