    Thanks for your suggestion and for your tips on getting started with AE.

    In the end, I split the layer at the point in the time line where i didn’t need the animation any more and then selected ‘remove all text animators’ from the menu on the new split layer … seems to work!

    I love your AE reel by the way 🙂
