What I just did is delete the media cache and then remove the song from the sequence, and lay it back in. Seemed to make the problem go away momentarily, but now it’s back as ever.

I have tried everything suggested; moved project files, changed sequence settings, EVERYTHING. And nothing will fix this issue for me. Is there honestly still no fix for this? Not only is this seriously compromising a project with a deadline for me, but it is making me very seriously consider abandoning Premiere completely, as it is basically unusable.
This didn’t used to happen. I’ve edited multiple projects with no problem with the audio. Now, all of a sudden this issue crops up. So weird! The only thing that fixes it is starting a new sequence and copying and pasting everything from the old one into it. But that only works for like 1 or 2 playthroughs and then the audio starts progressively cutting out more and more.

which one in particular did you have in mind? my budget is somewhere around the 300-600 range. the only one i’m seeing in that range is the MixPre, and that’s pushing it since i’d have to buy a porta-brace as well for a couple hundred bucks.
