    Thanks for the reply, I’ve seen specs on the Cineporter using a P2 card connector and I have an earlier Firestore that worked
    extremely well with my DVX-100. I’ll learn to do the “P2 shuffle” until a better firewire drive solution becomes available.

    Is there any rationale to copy MXF files from P2 to Hard drive (faster) than importing P2 via FCP?

    When I tried the copy mode from P2 mode on my 17″ laptop then tried to import I gota file recognition problems, I thought I copies off all of the text files as well. Is it slower going through FCP since it’s dealinhg with a QT wrapper?
