In this case it was done at a transition point. I’d like to do in the body of an event with text and images. Know what I mean?

Noob mistake. Had the 2D Shadow track selected in Motion Tracker instead of the Position track.

John, I watched the webinar segment you had referenced. An awesome effect (wish Boris plugins were in the budget!), but not what I was looking for. It’s much simpler.

I want to go from a regular font for chosen text to a heavy bold look of the same font but not in an instantaneous (on/off) way. The effect would show the words quickly and linearly morph from standard to heavy bold and back to standard, all within less than a second.

Hope this is clearer.

Reducing the Bit Rate to 4M seems like a good start.

Can I pick your brain a little further? Brief answers are A-OK, of course:

1. With voice narration, I wanted to use Sound Forge Pro to record, edit and import in to VP. I like the idea of using dedicated software for these kinds of tasks. All the plugins are there. I’ll be using a Yeti microphone. Any reason not to import a 2-channel narration file in to VP 10? How do the Pros do it with voice narration?

2. What is the critical relationship between Project Properties and Render As settings? IOW, what settings need to be in sync?

3. Anything you do just before rendering to reduce risk of a bad render (i.e. missing sound, stutter, etc.)? I thought Production Assistant had an “audit” feature. Am I on the right track?

4. Any advantage rendering as an .wmv file over an .mp4 for Web applications?

Input from other Pros is also welcome! Thanks all.

The Motion Effects plugin looks like the right one. Keyframing the effect would test my patience.

What about emboldening the text in sync with the vibration? I played around the the “Min and Max” FX but found it a little tough to control. Any thoughts?
