You might not, Ed, and that is likely due to your audience and the focus of your company, etc., but for many, handling every job as if it were destined for broadcast is going to be a major drain on resources and an inefficient use of time.
I tend to be a pragmatist but hey, that’s just me. ;o)

I have to tell you, Bill, that your Smithe Furniture ads are hilarious. Great work. For local commercials, these are some of the very finest I have ever seen. Right up there at the top. The people in your market area have to love them as they are a far cry from the typical crap seen in local commercials.

When using multiple words in a search here at Creative Cow, put quote marks around them so that the mechanism knows that you want “page turn” and not all posts that contain the words page and turn.
I just did it and there are 325 posts that came up when I did the search for “page turn”. Granted, not all are going to apply to your question but there are hundreds there that do.

Click on the “Search Post” link at left.
Go to the “Advanced Search” section (the green section).
Enter the words “page turn” in the “Search Terms” field
Leave “Author” blank.
“Search locations” = “forums”
“Forums to Search” set it to “Adobe After Effects”
“How far back do you wish to search?” set it to “All Active Posts”
“Search the Archives” = “Yes”
Set archive dates from Apr 2001 to Dec 2005
There will be many posts to explore…

For web video, you would want to de-interlace your footage and probably step it down to 320×240 or smaller. You may even wish to compress using Sorenson or Compressor. It would be recommended, as most people aren’t set up to watch interlaced full-resolution video over the Net.
You needn’t worry about color correcting, etc., for the web. This is a 72dpi environment wherein there are few calibrated monitors and so “what’s good enough is good enough.”
Just as MP3s have become acceptable audio quality because of the Net, low-rez video is also acceptable because people will accept almost anything on the Net. It’s the idea and the content that matters on the web.

Some of our most successful forums were started by hosts who were willing to “learn publicly” in front of other members of the Cow. It gives a feeling of pragmatic realism to the forum and I have been using that approach in the Adobe InDesign forum, where I host and ask more questions than I probably answer. But a new community is building because of it.
We’d love to add a Blender forum if you want to host. If you do, please send me a photo of yourself and a little bit of bio for your host page.

Regarding a Mac version of the plug-in, I am sure that as Intel Macs proliferate, more and more Windows programs will find their way over to the Mac.
