Click on the “Search Post” link at left.
Go to the “Advanced Search” section (the green section).
Enter the word “minority” in the “Search Terms” field
Leave “Author” blank.
“Search locations” = “forums”
“Forums to Search” set it to “Adobe After Effects”
“How far back do you wish to search?” set it to “All Active Posts”
“Search the Archives” = “Yes”
Set archive dates from Apr 2001 to Dec 2005
There will be about 68 answers to explore for ideas.

The boards will not work with Premiere under any circumstances (if I understand your comment correctly). In order for Premiere to access and use a board, there must be drivers written that “hook into” the chips and capabilities of the board. That never happened with the Avid ABVB boards. Only Avid software of the correct variety works on Avid boards.

Gosh, that was a long time ago, but as I recall it was an ABVB board-based AVR 70 system if I remember correctly. I remember it had something to do with video and picture thingies and moving them into different positions and stuff…

What you might also do, Mark, is post a link at the end of each of your simpler and shorter explanations that says “Want to learn more?” and then they can jump to a “dig down” page that addresses that particular topic in further detail. At the bottom of the page could be the “Other Points of View” area for feedback that might run counter to your own, etc.

The only thing missing that hasn’t already been mentioned by others, is that I would make it a little more clear in your music and sound section that people cannot use their favorite song. The ones who are going to use your chart, are ones newer to the process and so they are the ones that need a “red light” thrown up quick. There are too many (some even here at the Cow) who argue “Fair Use” and other nonsense. Me, I’d make that a little more clear that using popular music can be a minefield.

Yes, and 50 animators worked 18 months. For little companies, hardly a cost effective proposition.
The “down and dirty” methods are within the realm of mortals.

Yes, it’s one of the reasons that we are looking into it. We will soon begin asking those interested to register as we have the University of Colorado report on CreativeCow.net (done by two PhD professors at their School of Business) to show what our stats, ages, etc., are all about.
The next step is to see what kind of numbers may be interested and we plan to begin exploring that very shortly. Likely after the next magazine comes out.
After we see what kind of interest is there, we will hire an experienced human resources benefits counselor who knows how the whole game is played.
It’s something we have wanted to do for a long time and it’s getting moved up to the front burner very shortly.

We are beginning the process of trying to get CreativeCow.net associated with a large insurance provider to get a huge group buy program in place.
