    Hi Mike!
Thanks a lot for your information, I’m a begginer so let me write what I’ve understood:
I have to unlock something in PP just to render successfully, I’m working with simple Dv avi files ( not hdv,…) How do I have to do that? in the export settings menu?
When you talk about footage problems do you mean that it is too charged of effects corrections and more? ( because my footage is very simple, just cutting and a few corrections)
Regarding the switching from VBR to CBR, another question ( please don’t laugh!), I’m from Barcelona, and as you know here in europe we work with PAL, does it has some influence or it’s a stupid thing what I’m telling?
Thank you very much again, I think I’m learning more about PP in the last couple of days than in the last two years working with it!

    Hi,

I’m new at that forum and I’ve seen intelligent answers that I don’t find anywhere else so I try:I have a similar problem as Mike’s, let me explain:
I’ve been working with Premiere Pro 2.0, and it has always done fantastic with my pc ( i only remember that’s an AMD at Duo at 2GHz), at my last production I have problems with the render ( about 18 minutes), if it lasts more than four minutes, the pc shuts down, I’ve tried to cool the pc more than ever, doesn’t mind if it’s burning direct to dvd, or into a folder, what makes me afraid it’s that I’ve done large projects ( max 85 minutes) with no problems and I still have about 20GB of free space at the HD.
I know that i have to change the pc one of these days, but I have to wait for a best season…
Sincerely I don’t think it’s the temperature, and neither a virus ( i’ve checked), could it be something about the sofware? hardware? What do you think? Any idea?

    Thank you very very much!!!
