well sadly that didn’t help…I now have everything set to draft, caps lock on and all fingers crossed but if I hover mu stylus anywhere near the sliders in the set-up window the whole programme goes wierd, sliders move back and forth of there own accord etc….I’m guessing my computer needs a re-build but any ideas would be welcome.

    thanks for your time

Out of interest I solved the problem by attaching a small rectangular solid to one end of the mask/stroke layer..auto oriented it along the path, precomped it and used one of the alpha track matte modes to make it invisible and act as a square cut-off at the end of the line….worked pretty well (and not as complex as I’ve made it sound…I could probably send the project to anyone who can’t work it out, if they give me their address)…best…Roger

I agree…this is excellent. It reminds me a little of a similar link posted ages ago which I’ve lost…it was pretty inspirational and included (amongst many things) an appreciation of the car commercial where various parts move gently and nudge the next feature (eg wipers wipe and nudge some ball-bearings) they then showed the source for this idea which was a piece of installation art. Forgive the vaguness of this post but if anyone can recall it and post the link I’d be most grateful (and everyone else can look at it)…best Roger
