It may work with doing the color match first but if you can’t get the primary video you want to match it does not good. In other words, it has to match the already adjusted video.
I’ll be curious to know what you find out.

I have discovered that it does work UNLESS I have other effects on the track and then I always end up with this…
and color match doesn’t help much if I can’t also add other effects to my original track.
It doesn’t seem to matter where the effect is added in the chain either.

I’ve been under the impression that the Sony MXF file is best. That’s what we use to render our HD programs that go to PBS.

Go to “options/preferences/” and then the video tab.
There you will find at the top of the list where you can change the amount of ram.

    HI Steve,
I’d like to apply that to a track because the entire project is basically made up of 3 cameras shooting the same scene.
Have you actually tried to apply it to the track?

I’m curious to know what kind of camera you have that shoots at 500 frames per second.

If I understand the question right, all you do is swipe a section of your audio to hightlight it and then grab some point in between and drag it up or down. Four points will appear.
If you have two mikes working at the same time during a shoot, you can hightlight both tracks then slide one up and the other one down. I do that for interviews when one person talks and then the other.

Parent child only applies to movement of the events. Is that right? It doesn’t apply to any effects, does it?

This is strange. When I answered this post, I didn’t see any other post that answered the question above mine. I’ve gone back a few minutes later and I see others have already answered it. ???

You can put a audio envelope on the track.
To the left of the track with your audio, right click anywhere within that box (with the volume slider) and then a drop down will appear and choose “insert/remove envelope”.
That will put a line on your timeline in which you can then double click to make points. Those points can be slid up or down for volume and you can add as many points as you like to adjust the volume.
