I have recently shot with the new Panasonic DVX200 and I shot footage at 50 megs per second (mpeg4) and it worked perfectly on my timeline which surprised me.

I only purchased the image stabilizer plugin. Is purchasing the cmos stabilizer pretty much a must as well?
    Thanks

Like you said, I must be doing something wrong. I’ll look at that tutorial again that was suggested.
    Thanks.

I’m not familiar with ilok but will check it out. Would really like to use the program I have paid a lot of money for to begin with and then don’t have to “learn” a new program.
Demo’s a good idea but really won’t solve the problem as I’m up here all summer.
Can’t believe iZotope doesn’t respond to my emails. Does NOT give me a very good feeling about their company.

    Hi Dave,
That’s really nice of you but we have no internet here at our cottage in NC and I have to be at a cafe or somewhere that does in order to even do emails.

  • Good tips.
If you’re going to do much editing with multi-cameras, then PluralEyes is well worth getting. With that you just put each video and audio on different tracks then highlight what you want to sync and it syncs everything for you very easily.

April 22, 2015 at 1:05 pm in reply to: Remove a spot from a projector. I am a newbie

I had a similar situation where I had to remove an tiny insect on the lens. I approached it a bit differently. I duplicated the video track and put a mask around a good part of the area to the right (or left) of the spot and then I slid the entire video horizontally so I basically cloned a good spot over the bad spot. I did blur it a bit too like Graham did.

I can’t believe Catalyst is saying it is a way to do a storyboard and there is no way to shuffle clips around and then do a batch rename. I’ve brought this up to them but they don’t respond.

I had that same problem with grain on a shoot here in my studio and I couldn’t figure out why. I reset my camera setting to the default on the menu.
BUT… to answer the question, I used two Boris plugins to fix the problem. One is the BCC Magic Sharp and the other was the BCC Noise Reduction.
It absolutely fixed it. In fact is saved the entire shoot which was for PBS.
