Got it, you were referring to Ken Stone’s FCP web site, by Graeme Nattress, sorry, i printed it out, it’s pretty good.
I’ll follow what is says, make some tests, meanwhile my book should get here.

    thanks again.

by reading post here in creative cow, i read that a good book to have is DVX DVD and DVX Book by Barry Green,
i think this is the book you are reffering to, it seem pretty good, pretty expensive too, but, i guess is well worth it.

Natresses, do you have the site? i went on to natresses.com with no avail.

Thanks for all your input, is really helpful.

My 2 cents, buy a G5 Quad, great system works really well wiht FCP Studio and comparing to the expandabilities of AXP, you are going to be happier with FCP, plus you can also run AXP, and at least you can work on both softwares, and get bussiness from both as well. Macintel… is not as easy as people think, come this june, it does not mean every software will be running mactels, the transition will be longer…why be a beta tester…Quad are meant for huge cpu instensive programs like FCP, again, they work well together.

Keep finding out on threads like these, and get a good feel from people who work on both platforms.
    Good luck,

February 22, 2006 at 4:50 pm in reply to: Break in timecode when I edit to tape.

My two cents….what I’ve done in the past is that I do the insert edit before the tc break, and after, also I make sure that in my settings i have checked “edit accross tc breaks” or something to that matter. Another way of doing it,(risky) its by selecting the insert edit put in on a new sequence and make sure your clip that you are inserting has the TC in and TC out exactly as you DBSP, then do an assemble edit.

    Hope it helps.
