September 4, 2016 at 11:53 pm in reply to: How to render videos for the web without a huge file size? The first thing you should consider is your resolution. if this video is intended for the web you should use the web standard which is most likely HD. 1920×1080 or 1280×720. if you already have your 2500×2500 just change the composition to an HD preset via the composition settings. second thing you should know is that rendering for the web means you have to encode your footage i.e compress it with some playback codec such as H.264.
for some information about the process, you can watch this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HWzRgxRqUUs

this is not the latest update of it’s release. first you should update your software to 11.0.4 look here: https://blogs.adobe.com/creativecloud/after-effects-cs6-11-0-4-update-bug-fixes/
after you have reset your preferences and cleared the cache, if it’s not all these 3 things – it could be a corrupted frame in your video or audio that’s causing this. if your music is Mp3, I would convert it to WAV, and re-import it and try again. if this does not work – I would convert your video to lossless version (QT Animation for example) and re-import it and try again.

1. What Ae and OS version exactly (decimal points please)
2. When you Preview your footage at full quality in Ae in the problem area, does it work fine?
3. I would render a Png Sequence so that you won’t have to Re-Render all over again. when Ae is stuck on these offending frames you should check what exactly is going on there because it often is a currupt frame of Video/3D/Other type of sequence. if it’s all Graphics/Native Ae material I would examine the workflow and set the effects in a different way to see what exactly is causing this
4. Purge Cache memory: edit->purge->all, and also in the preferences under media and disk cache
5.Reset your preferences

September 4, 2016 at 12:32 am in reply to: Weird deformations using time remapping on a comp with vector shapes and maskso.k it seems this should work but I am not completely familiar with your exact setup but see if this helps: bare in mind that the wiggle expression will create random movement based on the index of the layer. so every time you duplicate a layer with a wiggle expression, the duplicate will look slightly different. maybe this is related to your problem or not.
when you can please provide screenshots of your timeline. if you can upload the project, that would be better.

September 3, 2016 at 11:59 pm in reply to: Weird deformations using time remapping on a comp with vector shapes and masksAre all your layers (inside the precomp) native AE? i.e created entirely in Ae? there’s seem to be a mismatch between your layers. what have you got there? a screenshot of the composition would answer these questions.
if all else fails and it’s just speeding up, you could always render the composition and re-import it as a video file and use timeremapping. but I would try to solve this without this first.

September 3, 2016 at 11:41 pm in reply to: How to measure the distance between two points?one way to do it is this:
1. create a slider expression control – in the Effects and Presets type: “Slider” and add it to a null, or a solid, whatever you want.
2. in the timeline expose the position of the 2 layers you want to set the distance (press P for both layers)
3. alt click on the stopwatch to create the expression for the slider
4. go to the little play button to choose an expression preset and go to Vector Match and choose length(point1. point2)
5. highlight the word point1 and now pickwhip to the position (the word position) of layer A
6. highlight the word point2 and now pickwhip to the position (the word position) of layer B
7. click keypad enter
8. be amazed -
do you have maybe an example to what you are trying to accomplish? a reference could help a lot here.

September 2, 2016 at 8:52 pm in reply to: Using DUIK: IK on arm will stop working if I duplicate my rig comp.I had situations where I had a composition with expressions linking layers and precomps, and duplicating the comp did not work as expected. I found “true comp duplicator” script to help in these cases: https://aescripts.com/true-comp-duplicator/ it has a feature to “update expressions” – I would try and see if that makes your duplicate behave as expected. here: https://imgur.com/a/QS3kF
other then that I would also try getting help in the duik site: https://rainboxprod.coop/en/help/

you probably got also “Show Animated Properties” checked as well. my setup is usually this – making editor set an option but unless it’s selected I will see only the selected properties:
