The options are virtually endless, so one of the best things is to look at different title treatments and pick one that you want to emulate.

The key to visual effects is being able to previsualize it, either in your mind or by looking at examples of how others have done it until you find something that looks good for your purposes — and then trying to figure out how to do it. Experimentation works sometimes, but will generally take much more time if you’re not sure what you’re going for.
