February 8, 2018 at 9:57 am in reply to: Track in mocha AE – problem with tracking past the shot’s edgesmake sure your track matte in mocha contains all the guy and the door. this information will be subtracted from the area which is tracked and therefor there won’t be any drift.

February 6, 2018 at 11:16 pm in reply to: Track in mocha AE – problem with tracking past the shot’s edgesLori, it took me a while with this shot. first I was picky on what I should choose as my area, after A LOT of trial and error I realized that a big area would do it even if there are some reflections. so I tracked a big area of the van, then used a separate tracker as a track matte to hold out of the door.
here’s a walkthrough at double speed:

February 3, 2018 at 3:48 pm in reply to: showing animation path tangents in the viewport on R19so I have been answered in another forum that I simply need to toggle the triangle

remove overshooting, then remove auto tangents and done.
still would like an answer to this though:
when selecting a keyframe on an animation path in the viewport, is there a way to select the corresponding timeline keyframe and open it maybe? (same as in Ae – a keyframe is a keyframe)Roei Tzoref

Hi Kevin, I need this for a transcript animation that follows a sound guide so I do need an end keyframe that I could animate.

sounds like something is wrong with your software. can you show us a screenrecording of the process? other then resetting the preferences, I would check if this is a hardware issue (wacom/mouse)

February 2, 2018 at 7:27 pm in reply to: Track in mocha AE – problem with tracking past the shot’s edgescan we see the shot? there are ways to overcome a feature exiting the frame in many ways. one of Mocha’s trademark abilities is the way it can track a feature even if a lot of it is not there.

for playback purposes, mp4 is your best bet. all the answers to your questions are in the first link.
[Davy Gunarso] “Unfortunately youtube cannot answer all my questions”
most probably youtube will even makes things much more confusing when starting out. always check if the author really knows what he’s talking about. the proper place to start is the tutorial page I gave you. from there you could advance to decent tutorial authors. creative cow has an After Effects series, other vendors too. Lynda is the best place to start in my opinion.

https://forums.adobe.com/thread/684381seems you are a beginner in this software. this is not a software you can intuitively go about and understand how it works, for training start here: https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/after-effects/tutorials.html
