  • You must test if your AJA ac adaptor is dropping out the 12v in constant and normal way. You must check you current wall outlet too (with a tester). In add, maybe your sine wave is not working properly; test your Ki Pro on another source or in other building.

I’d have the same issue when I was plugged on a generator truck with a long extension. My diagnose was current tension loose. Since I work with batteries, the issue never come back.

    Same thread discussed on https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/269/1577#1577

  • Gary,

And what if I transform the signal passing through some converters? HDMI -> SDI, and (if no work) with another SDI -> HDMI converter?

Like I find a solution for Canon 5d Video Assist. Hdmi signal from camera, connected to a hdmi splitter (one for onboard monitoring; and the other for a HDMI-> SDI converter). Then I get a 480i signal, but in KiPro appears 525i. Otherwise, or without the splitter, signal jumps between Livemode and Reccording.

So, modifing the signal passing by several converters, will do eliminate the copy protection?

    David,

AJA have a great support too. They are always responding to people questions. They have a great warranty services too.

If the 3.0 Firmware version has being delayed, I’m think is cause of the process of testing and fixing bugs. I’m still waiting too, patienly.

We don’t need a quick release of the 3.0; we need a strong system. We don’t wanna a quick release, and later get a thousands of patches and bug fixers; we don’t wanna use our KiPro to be used as a guinea pig.

September 15, 2011 at 1:10 am in reply to: Sync Timecode with Audio Recorders

    Chuck,

Do you remember how it was connected and synced?

Type of cables? What connectors was used? How many times a day? what if you have several days; Separate the data by “date”? Only method is free run TC? Its impossible to set it as Rec-Run?

Any experience with Arri Alexa? Alexa has a lemo 5pin connector. What type of cable you need to jam the TC.

On my point of view, the camera should be the master TC, for takes in MOS mode which made between SYNC scenes.

What if you use the lunch time for offload the recorded data onto a laptop? Sure, at 422 Std, you will get great quality into a reasonable file size.

So, I reccomend you get enough of free space on you laptop. 500Gb x 5 days need 3Tb, Maybe lees, depending your recording quality (HQ, Std, LT)

If the V3 of KiPro Softawe is released before your work, you´ll don´t need eject the drive from Ki Pro; you’ll be able for download KiPro files directly to your computer trought the FW800 port.

Some one knows if this function will be possible when KiPro is Recording / Stand By / Off?

What about make possible to jump between diferents “Scenes” or “Alpha Scenes” instead to jump by takes? Jump takes one by one to find a 3-days-after can be have a huge delay.
