Have any idea why there is no audio when put into DVD Arch 3? I dragged the MPG file from the explorer tab, into the main working area. When played after rendering in Studio6 it is with audio. The template is NTSC DVD.

Great! I got everything ready with the exception of the AC3 audio encoding. Is this a full version capability only? I am using Studio6. I went FILE/RENDER AS and there is no AC3 option on the drop down menu. I am choosing Main Concept MPEG2.

    Thanks again for your help.

Oh my goodness, I did not know I could do that. So easy, and it worked. I feel so techy. Thanks so much.

I only have the two key frames, the beginning and the end.

My smoothness is 1.000, what changes would you suggest I make to it?

My work-around is to overlap the photos/video 1.29 seconds, put the end key frame very close to the end of the clip, and the ‘s’ curve then happens in the transition between clips and is not very noticable.

    Thanks,

    Hi John,
I replied to Steves post, have a look and add anything you think would help. Oh, ‘what has changed’ on my computer…much sadly. A coulple of fatal crashes, new/bigger hard drives, bigger programs (PS CS5, Lightroom, Google Earth etc.)
    Thanks guys,

Thanks Steve, I will try and reduce the resolution of my photos. I am using them at 300dpi, what res should I shoot for?

Also, the video I am using is borrowed (with permission), and actually I used DVD Decrypter, which then makes it an IFO file, or a VOB. I know nothing about this, should it be a differnt type of file for editing? Should I first render the footage as something else prior to editing it?

Thanks for your help, glad this forum exists.

Well it turns out it was just a bad cable. Go figure. I set the camera up as a webcam to see if it would loose communication with the computer and it did. Then I tried another cable and it worked flawlessly.

One note, I was using a Belkin cable, 4 pin to 6 pin with a 6 pin to 4 pin adapter (my computer and camera both us a 4 pin firewire). So perhaps it was the cable or the adapter, not sure. I’m just happy the new cable works.

Also, the antivirus ‘update’ in the middle of capturing and it did cause me to loose many frames, so I had to start over.

    Thanks for the tips.

Thank you, I will try those and get back to you.

I will add this, I am using a laptop. From the camera comes firewire, and then I selected my external HD for where to put the transfered video via USB2.

It turns out that version 4 of Movie Studio+DVD does NOT support DL DVDs, but the lastest version 6 does. Now I will ponder the upgrade.

    Thanks,
