    Hello,
Using Studio 6. I am attempting to do pan/crop with still photos, but after moving my time line curser, and adjusting the crop box, the motion has a slight ‘s’ curve to it (usually at the very end of the motion). The motion is not linear, from where the pan/crop starts to finish. It’s only a little bit but it sort of bugs me. Any way to take it out?
    Thanks,

    Rodney

A linear pan only needs two keyframes. Make sure you don’t have more than that. It’s pretty easy to accidently add them.

If Danny’s suggestion wasn’t the case, check the ‘smoothness’ options. I’ve noticed when I use these there often isn’t linear movement, for some reason.

I only have the two key frames, the beginning and the end.

My smoothness is 1.000, what changes would you suggest I make to it?

My work-around is to overlap the photos/video 1.29 seconds, put the end key frame very close to the end of the clip, and the ‘s’ curve then happens in the transition between clips and is not very noticable.

    Thanks,

    Rodney

I just found the problem. Your point of rotation which is usually found at the centre of the large ‘F’ distorts the motion when not at perfect centre. Make sure it’s in the middle and it’ll be linear.
