A small trick I use, select all the clips and change their speed and duration to be a percentage faster. Then nest them into a new clip, then change that new nested clip’s speed and duration a percentage slower (to make the first %) to get you back to normal speed.. but this time with a percentage gap between all the clips.

Not perfect, but might help.
