Well I downloaded a demo of AVS Video Converter 6.2. Seems to work exactly the way i need it. As an added bonus, I can actually batch rip (that sounds like a swear) quicktimes.
It ain’t free…but it certainly isn’t expensive, and it will save me hours of time with the batch rips (I feel a little dirty saying that).
Thanks for your help.

I have never used DVD Remaster, but I have tried handbrake – and I can’t seem to create a file that Sorenson squeeze will read.

There won’t be much worry about default language settings since the DVD is only being distributed in Manitoba (Canada).
Right now, there is a menu with all the languages as buttons. When you click on a language button, it sets the specified audio track and goes to the Show selection menu. No matter what show they select, it will play the audio track that was previously selected, until it is changed.
Everything is running perfect, except that I don’t have a track for Ojibwe or Cree, (or Cantonese, but from what I have read, it is just supposed to go in the Chinese track.)
I technically could put the Cree and Ojibwe languages on any other audio track, but if the user happened to select the audio track using the remote on the fly, it would not display the proper name of the language. (although this isn’t really a big deal, since the language will mostly be selected from the language menu, and there is no need to switch languages on the fly)
The only other option I see is to create 8 different timelines (4 shows x 2 languages) and have a separate show menu for these 2 languages.

Thanks for the reply Eric. I am not sure what you mean about not setting languages, but still having a language selection menu. In order to make the languages to work, I have to assign them to tracks don’t I?. Otherwise I would have a separate timeline for each language….and there isn’t enough room to fit 11 – 25 minute shows.
Am I missing something?

My project consists of mostly stills, one quicktime compressed with mjpeg a, and a bunch of wav files. I think I am going to try a re-install.
Thanks for your quick responses!

I checked and double checked both switches. They are both activated. Before this happened, if I clicked and dragged a layer or held my mouse button down to scrub the timeline for more than 4 seconds, my whole screen would turn white.
I also checked my Open GL and it was off.

Yeah I checked that one…it is on. Not too sure what else it could possibly be.

September 20, 2007 at 5:14 pm in reply to: DVD Lab Pro – Menu loop points and linkingOne more question. Why is 704×480 so bad? Everything I have read says that it is a DVD standard, and really no different than 720×480.

September 20, 2007 at 4:34 pm in reply to: DVD Lab Pro – Menu loop points and linkingYeah, that brings me back to my original problem. My menus are all 720×480, as well as all the animations. There are a couple video clips that are 704×480. DVD Lab will mix them, but recommends not to. I will find a different way to encode these few clips.
Thanks
