    Hi Richard,
I too have installed the Intensity Pro card – just to be able to monitor in HD from the CS3 timeline via the HDMI cable into a HD TV.
I can get a picture out, but no motion – and the timeline won’t play as it should either.
The files are Cineform converted ones from AVCHD. I don’t want to have to capture everything with Intensity if I can help it, just to carry on editing previous projects already started. Have you had any luck with your setup?
Anything that I haven’t thought of changing in settings anywhere?

    Regards,

I have been able to open the m2ts files in Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 8 and edit and export.
What I’d really like to be able to do is the edit in Premiere Pro.
I tried renaming the m2ts files as m2v and opened them easily in Premiere (1.5) They looked fine in the source monitor, but once they were dropped onto the timeline, they were upside-down as well as mirror imaged! I wish I could find a work around for this. Any thoughts?

I was having the same problems this evening, trying to import some avi. files into AE6.5.
I fixed it by going into Composition Settings > Advanced and under the Rendering PlugIn dialogue, changing it to Open GL.
Then in the “open file” box, I selected “view all files” to get the desired ones to show up, then changed the dialogue to “windows media” which encompasses avi etc. It then all worked, for me anyway…
One thing I can’t get it to do is to import a Premiere Pro project into AE – that’ll be the next hurdle!
