Thanks Carl that worked for me as well. I had to reconnect the database though and upgrade it manually, but that was no hassle.

so have you been able to get it to work?
i have the same problem, since i uninstalled the database with the command lines in terminal, how it was posted here before, which i initially did because i got this strange “postgresql” user after i installed resolve lite on my new mbp (i7 2,2 17″) for the first time.
so now i cannot get resolve to work properly.
what am i supposed to do?
anyone??
