I duped the JPEG sequence onto layer 2 on top. Changed the layer mode to Multiply, and set the Echo Operator (on layer 1) to Maximum.

Looks to work okay.

Thanks, I got it to work by switching to Maximum. Not sure Comp in Front doesn’t work. What does Maximum (and Minimum for that matter) actually mean?

Gonna give up on Track Matte. In titler, trying to position a wedge shape is a pain in the a***. The size and position are off. For example, to get a shape to appear in the centre of the video, you have to position the shape in titler off to the left!’

Any chance you could write out what to do a bit more fully, please? Am not advanced enough to follow that…

Make 2 of the 3 shapes seperately in the titler. OK.

Then after that?

“Track 3 mask”, does that mean the third shape in the titler?

I also watched this video this afternoon – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FgZp7LAIK4g) – and finally got the Write-on effect to work with the PS layer (circle drawn with brush and graphics tablet) imported into AE.

Could someone help me out, please?

I watched this video tut on customizing text, but still can’t figure out how to get Write-on or Stroke effect to work with the customized mask.
