If I read this correctly, then one would be outputting peaks at 11db over 0db to the Beta. That sounds a bit hot, unless it’s working on some non-linear volume level. I just want to verify that the -20db and the peaking at 9db are correct.

I don’t think I was clear in my response. What I’m asking is how do you get a proper display of a widescreen project While you’re editing it? How do you get the proper output from PPro (before encoding) so I can judge colors, etc while editing.

How do you get a proper monitor output with a widescreen PPro project? Now that I look at it, the DV output of a widescreen formatted project puts black bars at the right and left … even a widescreen monitor wouldn’t fix that.
