I had the same problem. Turns out you can capture in Windows Capture – loaded automatically on Vista for me when I plugged the HV20 in – and use Windows

I had the same problem. Turns out you can capture in Windows Capture – loaded automatically on Vista for me when I plugged the HV20 in – and use Windows Media Video not AVI. I had problems with AVI at any rate.

And then Premiere can view it. It seems Premiere is pretty limited to only what’s-hot in the pro world, as far as compatibility.
