  • Hi. Sorry to high jack this thread but looking for help in captioning. Seems like everything I read has me leaning towards outsourcing the captioning stuff.
I can do this and just need a little clear direction. I want to take my movies which I make, hand caption using the built in feature in Premiere Pro and have the captions work (when I export), on a dvd or .wmv/quicktime file.
I’ve been successful at exporting a QT file with captions working when I have QT Pro. But seriously, I need someone who can tell me step by step how to export CC effectively.

    Hope you can help.

    Thanks

    Hi.

I don’t know if this ever got resolved. I work with Adobe Premiere Pro CC and do a lot of captioning for my deaf audience so this is my bread and butter. I can make this captioning work for computers with Quicktime and WMV files however I haven’t had any luck getting the DVD player/tv to display the captions.
I followed your directions after exporting the .scc file from Premiere then opening Encore importing the assets to a new timeline, clicking on the video and the tab to the right shows the captioning piece. I browse for my .scc file attach it and save the project.
I then burn the dvd insert it into the tv and bam nothing. Someone please help!! Or make a video on line with DETAILED instructions so we all can get this right.

    Thanks in advance.
    Bob
