Just checked the drivers. I’m running a GeForce GTX 470 with drivers 8.17.12.8026 dated 08/03/11. Could the video board be an issue?

    Thanks

    Hey Guys,

Thanks for your inputs. I’ve bought training DVD’s from both of you and have learned a lot from them. Great Job! I decided for $49.00 Motion 5 is a great deal. Only issue… when I went to buy it a popup message said my Video Board is not supported (ATI 3870). I ordered the 5870 which should arrive today. Hopefully I’ll be running Motion 5 this evening.

    Thanks Again

    Bob

I use an external USB drive that I format on my Mac. Format the drive using the exfat format. The 4 gig limit is gone and both the Mac and PC can read and write to a drive with the exfat file system. You need to be running window 7. Good Luck

I use the hoodman Adapter with Transcend and Hoodman Raw Steel cards. I shoot a fair amount of 720 60p. So far, no issues or problems with either SD card. The Raw Steel cards my be more expensive but they are a heck of a lot cheaper then the SxS cards. The SDHC cards make it much easier to load clips into the computer. Sony’s SxS USB reader is just a little to expensive.

Sony ranks as one of the worst companies for customer service. Years ago they burned me on a high end SVHS deck. The deck cost over 2K and was in the trash 1 year latter. I got tired of dealing with Sony. With the exception the the EX1R I have not purchased anything from them. I spent many days researching cameras before I bought the EX1R. I also purchased a ridiculously overpriced 32gig SxS card. I only hope that I don’t have similar problems as you are. Good Luck.

Thanks for the info. Since the camera uses the Fat 32 file system I was afraid it had a 4Gig files size limit. Guess I need to keep my sequences under 14 minutes.

Thanks for the info. I was under the impression a slight blue card would be used to offset for warming skin tones. All the warming cards I’ve seen are more of an slight redish color.
