    thanks bret – I think you’ve misunderstood –
I need to monitor my HDMI feed from my camera with the recorder – good for directors etc…

However now found the right pieces of software here:
    https://www.homedvd.ca/products/rhmg-software/multiscopelite/
    for PC
    and
    https://www.divergentmedia.com/scopebox
    for macs

I have just created a tube by making a circle –
then with the first cycle selected – in read hold alt on MAC – and click on the circle edge line not any of the handles and you can pull off the second circle adjusting the size of the 2nd cycle dictates the tube thickness, I then extruded to the tube –

hope this helps also see here:

I’m sure others would be interested as well Edward, could you do a tutorial for the this ?
I’m still not being able to control the text as I should –
its goes really small and is hard to modify whilst shifting along the X plane — I believe its something to do with the 3D/2D space

    fingers crossed

Thanks for the info Edward – I look forward to seeing the new plug in, sounds exciting –

Just for the moment I’m still struggling with the comp, you say use the camera option in ProAnim
should i switch the 3D off? or keep it a 2D layer?

    Hello Jonas

I was reading through your posting and wondered if you could help me .

I have been asked to film a 3D promo same as you, but we are going to try and use some green screen as well.
Just wondered if you had any tips for the production and post work. We hope to get a commecial release on a cable network here in the UK and I wanted to get the best quality possible for the viewing public. We will try and give away free red/blue glasses for marketing it.

Any tips would be gratefully appreciated, we will shoot the promo on HVX200 at 720p 25fps I think, certainly better for the green screen work with less compression than HDV.

    cheers

    I use Squeeze version 3.53.300
and Avid Xpress Pro HD ver. 5.2.1
the strange thing is that only the top 3 – 5 lines of pixels only appear as green when played at full frame.

its an odd one can’t work out why, its obviously seeing the data on the quicktime reference file which isn’t obvious when I play the timeline in avid, but I am guessing it must be there, but only when an effect is applied, its as though there is a matte of green in the background but the video hasn’t sufficant height to cover those 3 – 5 lines. Actually it is visible when I select overscan on my monitor.
