what do you mean too little VRAM

i tried to encode it from pp2 and it worked fine i then imported into encore and it was great
i tried about 10 different tests in encore with no success -
would you need to upgrade the hard drive to 7200rpm 100gig sata or leave the one they give to you

didnt realise someone else had a post for laptops
one question when is the core duo2 coming out -
so running production suite wont be a problem and using external HDD
what about brands whats good Dell ,Hp, acer ,etc i see dell has the 9400 seems good
what are the recommendations for laptopsrob

I have installed the latest drivers from matrox 6157 and the pc works great with rtx100 and prempro2 i give it thumbs up it is more reliable now then when i had pro1.5 installed why would you want to keep away from it
one more thing i would like to up date to rtx2 or axio le how much more powerful is rtx2 to rtx100thanks

if you like realtime effects output to your external monitor i am using the rtx100 and its great as long as you follow there specs i have never had a problem
if thats not for you then firewire 1394 is the way to go for you vtr or camera but prem effetcs are not real time even with the the trx cardcheers
