Same here. As soon as I click “Export” I get the error message. I’ve updated my Nvidia drivers and uninstalled all of Creative Cloud.

I can now drag the native .mov files off the camera directly into Vegas with no problems. I actually copy them to a local disk first 🙂

I’m assuming that Sony fixed this issue in my current version of Vegas (64 bit Windows)
    Vegas Pro 9.0e (Build 1146)

  • I downloaded Sony’s Vegas Movie Studio HD 9.0 Trial (32 bit version since there is no 64 bit version) and the video preview works. I might just use this for now since there is NOTHING on the Sony site about the missing preview in VVP9.

  • I have 9b on my home system and work system and I can’t get the “preview” to work when capturing in HD.

I run Windows 7 64 bit at home and Windows XP 64 bit at work using a Sony HDR-FX1. Same results at home and at work using the same camera.

    Mike,

Did you try to just rename the file(s) from .mov to .mp4?

That worked for me running Sony Vegas Pro 9 (64 bit).

My buddy had a JVC HDD SD camera and Vegas 8 just dropped the entire audio track but my new Kodak Zx1 pocket HD cam records .mov and the audio track imports with the video but it’s flat (straight line). So it seems there’s a silent audio track.
