Hi Tim,
Hmmm … my video capture process is usually not tied to a particular editing suite/product. For example, I capture from HDMI 2.1 to another PC with a Magewell 4K Pro capture card using freeware capture tools like OBS or I may capture using Premiere Pro. But, the hardware and capture side aren’t necessarily tied to my video editing side … I may even capture through a mobile unit and then transfer data to my editing software (which in most cases is Adobe Premiere Pro for Windows).
In fact, one of the questions I have and don’t really know where to post it is:
Looking for a multi-HDMI 2.x capture card that can do at least three 4K 30fps (one being HDR10) inputs simultaneously. Most cards I’ve seen can only do one 4K 60 HDR10 and two 2K 60. I know there are many options out there and I’m looking for anyone with experience.
Right now the cheapest solution appears to be buy three Elgato 4K 60 Pro HDR MK.2 capture cards and use OBS but I’m not sure of what CPU/GPU I might need to support this much processing simultaneously.
So that’s my question and I really don’t know where to post it?
Cheers, Rob.
