Thanks a lot for your reply! I think Toon boom as Mike suggests might involve getting serious with yet another app but maybe the pins might help smooth the transitions out 🙂

Ah, I think I got! So create a seperate file of the extra Illustrator element on its own and then load that as a single footage into the project window and then drag it into the previous illustrator comp along with all the other layers.
A bit of a work around but good to know it can be done, thanks for you help ☺

I gave that a shot but the options for the comp and the individual files is greyed out?. Am I doing it the right way?

Ah, still getting the washed out look with the match “legacy setting” ☹
are there many settings other than QT than I can import frames as layers into Photoshop
(I’m a bit new to all the many settings AE can offer?)
