    I will be happy to look at the .scc file – please email it to me at rbarrow@umcom.org if you would like for me to try it out.

    Encore will accept the .scc file for “Closed Captions”. If you wish them to be subtitles as well then they must be in a .txt formatted file saved in UTF-8 format. When inside of Encore click on the video track (on a PC you may need to Alt click on video track and select the proerties tab and browse for the .scc file

    I highlight all AMA linked clips and select transcode. When completed, with the AMA linked files still highlighted/selected I simply hit delete and confirm I want to delete the master clips (these are the AMA linked clips – note you are not deleting any media, only the linked files which you no longer want linked since you have MXF media associated with the .new files.

    When you are consolidating, you are doing basically the same thing – you will have the MXF files online and you will have the AMA linked files (still online and indicated as AMA by the icon) – just delete the AMA linked clips from the bin.

    You might try a QT Ref file to Sorenson and play with 1080p 1:1 fps ratio at 1920×1080 using h.264 with Bluray comparable bitrate between 25-35mbps? You might try a 30 second clip to YouTube that you could remove (or put onto a channel that isn’t critical to be removed later).

    Sorry I have no other options – maybe someone else does.

    There is no longer a 2GB limit for YouTube – we export a DNxHD file and load that directly as YouTube accepts that – ours look great. The only hitch is upload time depending on your connection.

  • According to your .png you need to “Add Channel” (Probably will be Direct Com 1 depending on how/where remote is connected) then auto-configure.

    I am probably least knowledgeable and experienced with this, I guess i was thinking AMA and QT Ref. I could only speculate that so much is linked AND non-rendered that Avid won’t (but seems like it should) render all as it exports. have you tried using AMA but rendering before exporting?

    {However, shouldn’t I be able to export…properly even if I’m using AMA media instead of transcoded media?}

    No, you need to transcode any/all AMA before exporting.

    The only suggestions I would have is to make sure you are not AMA linked and to try rendering the effects. You can always leave the effects off the timeline and go into multicam mode to see all 3 cams in the source monitor
