    Dave, just so you know, you can get a stripped-down version of Magic Bullet Filmlooks in the downloads area of the Sony Media Software site. It’s under Vegas ver. 5, but it works with my version (6), so it should work for you, as well. Just make sure after you download the installer, to install the software in your plug-ins folder in your Vegas program.

    It’s listed under Vegas 5, but I’ve downloaded it and use it on version 6 with no problems.

    Just out of curiosity, have you been nesting Vegas projects together in the same timeline alot to get your clips that you say have the black parts in them? In that case, you may have corrupted project or pre-rendered video files in the various projects that you’ve been nesting. You may have to go back to all the projects after defragging your hard drive and render each project to an .avi file and then import the files into your main project for viewing/rendering.
