For what reason are you using multi-pass?

I have tried that exact thing over and over but the box just stays in the air. Is there a way of telling it when to fall. I have a entire room modeled and a camera that swings around to the table and I want the box to start falling once the camera turns around towards the table. Do I have setting messed up or something….really confusing me at the moment.

Are you exporting or saving the image? If you export it as a jpeg or gif a white background will be added because those file types do not support transparency on layers. You need to make sure that you are just saving the file as a PSD, or photoshop document. Start a new graphic and follow the previous instructions and remove the background layer, then go file – save as – (then save it as a PSD).

When you import it the image After Effects will ask something about merging layers, just hit ok.

You can also export the image as a PNG file and it will preserve any transparency. But I always just use PSD. Keeps layers in tact so you can easily make changes later.

All you need to do is get rid of your background layer in Photoshop. If your text is on a different layer then you should have a layer called background that is just all white. Just delete that layer, and when you import the PSD into After Effects there will be no background white, just your text. Hope that helps!

I found how to change, it made it slightly better, but it still pops alot. Any other ideas?

I am using mainly Final Cut 7, and the new Final Cut (I like it, but it does need a lot of work before I bring over my whole workflow). So would I be better off spending the money on going from 2.6ghz to the 2.9ghz 12 core and adding in maximum amount of RAM. Also I think I might wait until they update the Mac Pro’s with newer processors, that should not be too long I hope. Would kind of like a thunderbolt system.
