    Thanks for your reply – I was afraid of having to do this however I found an app called Sebsky Tools that allows you to add/modify the timecode track. Seems to be working fine. I have now been able to media manage the project and am going to start batch capture later today. Thanks again

    The FCP route does not guarantee good results.
    Follow this method:

    1:Export Your PAL Timeline as a self contained movie.
    2:Convert to NTSC (same Codec as your timeline) with Compressor
    3:Either convert to MP2 & AC3 with Compressor or let DVD Studio Pro do the work for you.

    I know a lot of people have their own stories and opinions about this stuff. For me its simple: I have a list of bad experiences with Decklink and, so far, I’ve never been let down by AJA.
    So its an easy choice for me – I’d recommend the Kona.
