To Clarify,YES I am using the Power adapter that came in the box with the HDlink. There was not a power cable (kettle lead) supplied as well, to power the adapter so I used one I had already.its a 240v 10Amp lead. Im in comms with supplier too but nothing is resolved yet.
Ive tried taking out all other usb fed peripherals but still no luck.
I have connected it to another Mac here. (Power PC G5) and it DOES work. the options are all selectable and there is no power drain alert either!! Cant uswe that Mac though cos the Extreme card isnt compatable! -
thanks for replying. What youve suggested is what im already doing. tried the front and rear ports but nothing. when its plugged in it disables all the slots next to it too. wacom mouse etc.
The only thing I can think of is the power lead im using to power the Link box. (not supplied) so Im using a spare 5amp kettle lead. !?!
