It’s probably not playing because you set your framerate to 30 fps in a 720p sequence. Try using the 720p 59.94 easy setup.

You mentioned your title is superimposed over DV background. If your sequence is a DV sequence, that’s your problem. DV does a very poor job with titles, and sharp contrasty graphics. You could change your sequence compressor to a less compressed format like DV50 or even ProRes and you should get better results.

I’ve run into that very frequently here, no fun at all. One workaround I’ve found is that if you send the audio to soundtrack pro (even if you don’t do anything to it there) you’ll get the waveform back. It’s not the best workaround, but it’s helped me out.
What scares me is I frequently get the issue were I send it to soundtrack pro, all is well and good, but when I close soundtrack pro and final cut. I come back and sometimes it leaves that audio file offline, since it’s looking to be linked to a file called “render” If anybody knows what I’m doing wrong there, I’d love to know since I really like soundtrack’s setup, but if I have to risk not having the audio tomorrow, than no thank you!
That being the case, what I typically do is duplicate the audio clip, send a duplicate to soundtrack. Do what I have to do to it, then copy and paste attributes the original and we’re back on track.

The Raid card has three slots to connect three external HD Element raid towers. So in addition to raiding your internal drives, you can add external storage in the future.

The Cal Digit Raid Card will run RAID 5 internally. It’s a bit tricky to install (in fact, I couldn’t get my IPass cable to reach) but that is one of their big selling points. Likewise, it will allow you to add up to three HD Element Arrays. Now that’s sexy time!

I took Bob’s advice and put it in slot 4. However, after I followed the manual to set the cards to control my four internal drives, I found even after untangling the IPass cable, I could not get it to reach the raid card (I came within inches, but I decided if I tugged it too hard I’d either damage the cable, or it’d put too much tension on the raid card and damage that). I use a first generation mac pro, so if you have a more recent one, it’s probably configured differently inside and you’ll have better luck. That array is a monster though, I love it! Hope yours treats you well!

I usually recapture at 720p for our online and use the Kona 3 to cross convert to 1080 psf for our master layback. Likewise, graphics are created at 1280 x 720 ProRes HQ.

Were you monitoring the video from an external monitor or from the canvas? I only ask, because we had some 59.94 material creep into a 23.976 offline at one point, it looked atrocious. Any hoo, I would recommend you bring it into compressor to use the frame controls to retime it to 23.976. Make sure you set the frame retiming controls to the highest quality ( which I think it High Quality Statistical Prediction) or something that effect. It will take a long time, but will probably produce the best results.
