I had the same issue a few weeks back. Tried everything but no luck. Then I deleted my render files for the project and re-rendered. Anyway, this seemed to fix the problem for me. I figured it was a corrupt render file.

To check if the Pro version of Flip4mac has been installed, see if you have any 2pass options on your presets. If you only have 1pass presets, it has not installed correctly. This happened to me when I first installed it. Mutilple re-installs didn’t work so I made a quick call to their support and I was off to the races.

I would suggest first nesting it in a 720×480 (4×3) timeline. Shrink it down until it’s all in the frame and you have bars on top and bottom – basically making a 4×3 letterbox timeline. Export a reference movie that you can run through Compressor to make your DVD encodes.

I agree. H264 in a flv conainer. This combo may change if Google has their way, but for now its the best game in town for web streaming – in my opinion.

DVCProHD (assuming you’re using 720p60) will run you about 3.5 gigs per minute. If you have, say, 30 minutes of footage, that’s going to require 30DVDs (30fps footage will run you half that). Unless you only have a few minutes of footage, the DVD route may not be practical or cost effective. Can’t you just drop the capture scratch on a cheap external hard drive?
