i am trying to export a 2 minute clip. it is currently 1080 and i want to upload a 720p version to youtube.. here is the deal.. i see great quality clips on youtube and i just tried using compressor to exporty program streaming mpeg.. however i see loss in quality.. especially where i have fonts. they seem aliased. any ideas on best optimal settings..

in two words i need “current settings” quality in mpeg format rather than .mov..

If you are uploading to YouTube, why do you need mpeg and not an H264 quicktime?

and if you are going from interlaced footage, you may need to turn on Frame Control and set that to Best.
