Yes I was already aware of this and alas there are others as well. It’s one of the reasons I’m not upgrading to Pro 14 as yet.

Glad you got that sorted.

Press the down arrow next to the Ripple Button in the Toolbar and you will see a number of options concerning the tracks to which Ripple is to be applied. Does this deal with your problem?

“It blindly replaces some of the high quality codecs that you paid Sony for with free alternatives that might not be as good. We have seen people have render problems with certain codecs and then uninstall K-Lite and re-install Vegas Pro and the problem goes away. This has happened several times so it all points to K-Lite being the problem.”
A significant number of people on different forums have reported problems. sometimes quite seriou and not always confined to Vegas, after installing the K Lite package. I’ve seen very few favourable reactions to the package. The general and very sound advice is to avoid it at all costs.

But beware of buying a codec package such as K Lite as there have been many reports of difficulties when this has been done. Much better to import the specific codec and preferably from the author’s own site.

Thanks Steve. I do hope you are right but John Rofrano’s comments above are a little worrying and I do know as a fact the the very useful Timeline Tools Plug In is unlikely to be amended to fit with v14. Makes me wonder what line New Blue, Frederic Baumann and CCV Colour (for example) are likely to follow.

Thank you John. That’s bad news — for you as well as for me! It certainly raises serious doubts about whether or not I shall upgrade ;( sounds as though you’ve got a load of work in front of you. Good Luck.

July 26, 2016 at 10:09 am in reply to: Steve Rhoden and John Rofrano: Scripts in Vegas Pro 14Thank you John — and I’ve just had a chance to catch up with your post on the Vegas Pro forum in the thread I referred to above.
Your argument about covering the costs to continue your business on a sensible footing is well taken although questions of customer service will obviously have to be taken into account and this in its turn might depend on the amount of work involved. I fully understand and appreciate this but the need to upgrade scripts, especially the problems this will cause consumers for those no longer being supported, might, just might, be an upgrade killer:)

Thank you Steve. Yes, I often had notes and newsletters from Sony, although not for some time now. I haven’t signed up to Magix anywhere.

I live in the UK and currently use Pro 12 but have not received this e-mail from Magix or any of the other communications that have been referred to by members since Magix arrived on their white horse. And, yes, I have checked my spam folder!
Any ideas why this might be?
